Back in 2008 I studied in Spain and had a great time! Spain has been one of my favorite countries in the world ever since. I love the language, the music, the food and the friendly people! Enough reason for me to return to Spain in 2011, when I visited the Alhambra in Granada.
The Alhambra is amazing! The gardens are lush and green, the waterway network is so complex and inventive, the mosaics are stunning and the buildings are beautiful. Which I can tell you, but it’s better to show you:-)
I completely understand why the Moorish rulers choose this location to build the Alhambra!
So many pretty and colorful flowers!
And some pretty impressive buildings as well!
The Moorish building style of the Alhambra was one of my favorite things about the beautiful complex.
I know, my picture totally doesn’t do this mosaic justice. Just imagine this a 100 times brighter and prettier…
I loved gazing into the beautiful ponds of water…
This wouldn’t be a bad place to live…
Nope, not a bad place to live at all. Princes Lotte… yeah, I like it;-)
But the views, that’s what I would most if I would live here!

How to visit the Alhambra: practical information
Lucky me back in those days, being a student I paid probably about €7 for a General Admission ticket. Nowadays, the student price is €9 and the full adult price is €14. You can find all price information here.
Depending on when you are visiting, the temperature can be quite high, so take a bottle of water and sun screen with you!
